Safety/Rules
The entire group must stay within the therapists’ eyesight. Any child who knowingly elopes from the group will need to be sent home. Profane language is prohibited.
Weather Policy
The therapists will check the weather in the morning for advisories. Club will not be affected by rain. If severe weather is predicted for most of the day, an alternative, indoor location has been tentatively secured. Therapists will communicate any changes to camp location as early as possible.
Behavior Policy
Children must respect all other group members. Harmful or disrespectful behaviors will be addressed with the children and their parents. Disagreements happen, and the therapist will work with the children to respectfully resolve them. If harmful behavior interrupts the safety of the group, the child may need to leave the group at the therapists’ discretion.
Illness/First Aid Policy
The therapists will always carry a first-aid kit to address any minor injuries like bug bites, scrapes, etc. All injuries will be communicated with parents. In the event of a major injury, the therapists will notify parents immediately and contact necessary emergency services.
If a child becomes too ill to engage in daily club activities or has an incident of vomiting or diarrhea at camp, they will need to leave the group.
